I'm using lxqt with openbox; gtk-engine-murrine was my last
dep on gtk2; i tried to -Rdd it, then I removed gtk2, and
still numix theme for openbox works fine.
So, as it is not a "whole package runtime dep", it may be a good idea to just consider it an optional dep. |

Maybe you can live without it, however GTK2 apps will look like
garbage. Now you may not use any, but the majority of Numix users
do, and if I demote gtk-engine-murrine to optdepends for the
minority I'll be getting a lot of "my apps look like garbage" bug
reports. Unfortunately, most people don't read the terminal, some
heretics even use pacman GUIs (ugh). I'd prefer that you modify
the PKGBUILD locally to not include the dep, numix is not updated
that often anyway.
