Description:

When starting Calibre with the starter icon in Gnome3, it closes immediately. Starting the calibre binary from the terminal works fine.

This seems to be caused by the line

Exec=calibre --detach %F

in /usr/share/applications/calibre-gui.desktop. When using the detach option in the terminal, I see the same effects as using the starter icon.

Open the activities in Gnome3, search for Calibre and click it.

Sounds more like a problem with Gnome to me, but we'll see what the maintainer says.

Not sure what the problem was or is, but calibre 2.1.0 worksforme now with gnome 3 :)

Confirmed, the current version works perfectly. Bug may be closed.
