Visit http://people.ubuntu.com/~apachelogger/html5/ with your favorite qt5-webkit browser, such as qupzilla from [community]; as you can see, that webpage contains two video elements, an ogv and a webm. The ogv plays flawlessly, but the webm fails to play.

This issue affects all webm video elements I've seen (multiple websites) and all qt5-webkit browser I've tested (that's two).

Is there a fundamental obstruction to have webm support in qt5-webkit? Or can we do something packaging-wise?

Did you try installing every gst-plugin?

Silly me, gst-plugins-good was all that was needed to get it work. Thanks!

Would it be worth adding an optdepends?
