Gimp is built against gimp-print, but there is no dependency against it in the PKGBUILD. Easy, one liner.

I just noticed that it is listed as a make time dependency. It'd be nice if there is a post_install message telling the user what will happen if gimp-print is not installed, especially for beginners.

Well, I'am not going to change that, because gimp-2.4 will have two ways to print: gimp-print and libgnomeprint. libgnomeprint will eventually become part of gtk3. So with the release of gim-2.4 we will have gimp dependent on libgnomeprintui and have at least one printing system installed.
