Description:
btrfs reports itself as "dirty":

$ btrfs --version
Btrfs v3.14.2-dirty

I wondered what is the deal... Looks like git sees changes after Documentation/Makefile has been patched. So I would recommend runnig after patching:

$ git update-index --assume-unchanged Documentation/Makefile

That should make the build system happy and report clean version number.

Additional info:
btrfs-progs 3.14.2-3

The release is not dirtied by this patch. We don't mislead users by removing that.
