Description:
totem-3.12.1-2 (x86_64, I did not check i686) is missing a dependency on libquvi. Totem (aka GNOME Videos) refuses to playback videos from YouTube, despite being able to search for them. The console error output shows: /usr/lib/totem-plparser/totem-pl-parser-videosite: error while loading shared libraries: libquvi-0.9-0.9.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|1.0|totem|Decodificador text/html|decoder-text/html (Decodificador text/html) ** Message: Automatic missing codec installation not supported (helper script missing) Installing libquvi solves the problem and YouTube videos can be played normally. Additional info: * package version(s): 3.12.1-2 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: - Make sure you do not have libquvi previously installed. - Install totem (libquvi is not installed) - Try to play a YouTube video with Totem (open Totem, select Channels in the top bar, click the Search button, select YouTube source instead of local, type search terms, hit enter, select a video) - Install libquvi and repeat previous step |
