Details

Description: when an event occur, VLC shows a popup by default if it's minimized in tray area. Sadly, the popup is in Windows XP style instead of native/notify-osd style. There's a way to enable that in VLC's preferences but seems isn't enabled in current build.

In that image you can see there are more options that in my VLC pref list

Specifically, LibNotify Notification Plugin is missing.

Steps to reproduce: open some files on VLC, reduce it to tray and change track. Windows XP style popup should appear.
