Gnome-disk-utility depends on udisks2 which in turn optionally
depends on parted for partition management. Gnome-disk-utility is
just a GUI, it relies on udisks2 for doing the real work.
Oh, indeed, you're right. I think it shouldn't be optionnal for
the gnome-disk-utility as it's a core functionnality of the
application. In fact I don't really know the policy for the
dependency in Arch, but what about adding parted ?
Adding parted as a dependency is not a problem, it doesn't pull in
much extra stuff and gnome-disk-utility itself is not a
requirement for anything.
