Description:

DOSBox unnecessarily disables its OpenGL output in certain (most?) DOS video modes. For me, OpenGL output is a very desirable feature, since it's the only way to get decent video scaling without going to fullscreen and changing the X11 video mode (which has its own bugs).

There's a patch on the upstream bug tracker, which I've been using with no problems:
https://sourceforge.net/p/dosbox/bugs/385/

Additional info:
* package version(s)

dosbox 0.74-6

Steps to reproduce:

Add the following in dosbox-0.74.conf:
fullscreen=true
fullresolution=1366x768 (replace with native screen resolution)
output=opengl

Run DOSBox and note that the output (even in the default text mode) is centered, not scaled up to the full size of the screen.

Patching for feature addition is not the philosophy of Arch Linux. Try to convince upstream to implement the patch or feel free to create a new dosbox opengl enabled package in AUR under some recognizable name.
