Detailstigervnc 1.3.1-2 is not compiled with X 1.16.0 support, as shown by Xorg.log:
[ 169.224] (II) LoadModule: "vnc" [ 169.225] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libvnc.so [ 169.229] (II) Module vnc: vendor="Constantin Kaplinsky" [ 169.229] compiled for 1.15.2, module version = 1.0.0 [ 169.229] Module class: X.Org Server Extension [ 169.229] ABI class: X.Org Server Extension, version 8.0 Testing users who have updated to X 1.16.0 won't be able to launch X, as it will crash upon trying to load the vnc module at startup. tigervnc therefore needs to be recompiled with X 1.16.0 support. |

This bug is a bit more severe now that xorg-server-1.16 isn't in testing anymore. My bug, which was duped to this one, contains the required patches and updated PKGBUILD for 1.16 support: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41377
