Chromium from v35 abandoned xembed systray icon.
Therefore it need libappindicator to put a icon in systray for traditional systray provider other than unity/kde/gnome users.

Steps to reproduce:
Start chromium with hangouts installed.
There should be at least one systray icon for hangouts,
but no systray icons (without libappindicator) shown.

I read that this is fixed in Chromium 37 and icons should be displayed without libappindicator installed.

I might apply the relevant patches to our Chromium 36 package but I haven't decided on that yet.
