Description:
I just finished writing a new section on static ports for NFSv3 operation[1] and have documented using a static port for the lockd kernel module for firewall compatibility. I would like to request updating the comment in nfs-common.conf to include '-T 32803' so that a user can simply uncomment the comment and get all the ports static as required. :) # STATD_OPTS="-p 32765 -o 32766 -T 32803" We may also wish to add a new comment in nfs-server.conf that shows setting the rpc.mountd statically if needed; it usually just works right if your /etc/services has it listed but it can't hurt to add a preconfigured comment like so: # MOUNTD_OPTS="-p 20048" Additional info: * package version(s) nfs-utils 1.3.0-3 * config and/or log files etc. /etc/conf.d/nfs-common.conf /etc/conf.d/nfs-server.conf [1] https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NFS#Static_ports |
