DetailsDescription: Some applications that are trying to import mpl_toolkits are failing saying there is no __init__.py
Additional info: It looks like it's a possible known issue, see: https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/issues/2611 I was able to fix, not sure if it's the right thing to do, by simply copying the __init__.py file from https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/blob/v1.3.x/lib/mpl_toolkits/__init__.py into /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/mpl_toolkits/ |

Looks like it was fixed in trunk but upstream didn't make a new release yet.
