Description:

uim does not require anthy. uim is a framework library and
we can use uim with just that to input several languages
even though Japanese.

I've been using uim for years, but I use uim with uim-mozc(aur) and mozc(aur)
but not with anthy.

Anthy needs to be installed at build time for the anthy module to be built; running uim without anthy will then yields "libuim: [fatal] dynlib: libanthy.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory: Load failed." Perhaps worse...

It is happening with me now. Maybe that's why I cannot select mozc in uim systray.

After trying many things and restarting X, everything worked as expected, without anthy installed. You can close the bug.
