Details

I run a single user system and would like to run synergys as my own user, instead of as root. Please add a synergys@.service (and synergys@.socket) with the option "User=%i" so that this would be possible.

Do you reckon these should be additional or exclusive? Does it even make sense to run synergy as a system daemon I wonder? Probably not.

Well, root always has access to the X server, while if you run it as another user, it has to be the user that runs the X server. So maybe it would be useful if it's not always the same user that runs the X server. Though you could always specify root as the user to the @-services.

At least on a single user system that always runs X, it makes sense to run synergys as a system daemon IMO.

I chose to replace them with the @ ones as not even the wiki mentioned the non-@ ones and in fact suggests users to make their own @ services. This is obviously the wrong way. Now they are provided in the package.
