I have found that my laptop stopped suspending/hibernating after kernel 3.14 hit the repos.

I have worked with upstream to track the problem and get it fixed [1-2]. It seems the fix is not going to land on the next 3.15.2 so this bug report serves to ask if the patch can be included in Arch's kernel until the fix trickles down to stable kernels.

I'm not sure how patch acceptance works upstream (how long it takes to reach mainline) but it seems the patch is moving towards mainline [1], so I'm sort of bumping this.

It would be nice if you could include this in the arch kernel (linux, not linux-lts) until the patch makes it to mainline. I suppose this bug might affect other users too but either no one came forward to report it or no one stumbled upon it yet.
