DetailsUdev categorizes the /dev/hdd and /dev/hdb (my two cdrom drives) as readable by the 'storage' group. Previously, it used to put it in optical group, which is logical. Requesting a revert back to optical. This happens to atleast two other people i talked to.

Use an official kernel, or patch your homebrew kernel with the uevent patch, which is located in abs or CVS.
