DetailsPostgreSQL supports Kerberos natively and via GSSAPI. Native Kerberos authentication via krb5 is deprectated per the documentation. The recommended method is to use Kerberos via GSSAPI (gss) authentication. This requires PostgreSQL to be built using '--with-gssapi'.
Can you please build the postgresql package using --with-gssapi as well as --with-krb5. Both can coexist peacefully without issue. From the documentation (http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.3/static/auth-methods.html#KERBEROS-AUTH): "Note: Native Kerberos authentication has been deprecated and should be used only for backward compatibility. New and upgraded installations are encouraged to use the industry-standard GSSAPI authentication method (see Section 19.3.3) instead." |
