Since last update from 2014-06-14 17:46 UTC the KDE Desktop is freezing and producing graphical errors on the whole screen when opening Chromium.

External monitor loosing signal totally until Chromium isn't closed. There has NOT been any update to Chromium since 2014-06-11 06:07 UTC. Chromium and KDE worked fine until update of Intel driver.

Xorg.0.log contains following error after freeze:

I had the same issue.
The problem went away when i removed

Option "TearFree" "true"

from /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

not sure why ...

Thank you for this tip. It is also working for me. But I'm not sure if this is the real solution. There seems to be a real bug inside.

the best is to fill a bug upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org and paste the link here, so we can follow the bug
