There is a problem with the naming of the LibreOffice packages. On the website, "stable" is version 4.1.6 while "fresh" is 4.2.4 In the Arch repositories, the "normal" LibreOffice packages are version 4.2.4 (upstream "fresh") while the libreoffice-fresh packages are version 4.3.0, which is the upstream beta. While this is mostly a personal problem with the package naming, I think that the name "fresh" being used on the *beta* software can cause confusion with people. There should be a distinction between "fresh" software with new features and potentially unstable beta software. |
