DetailsDescription:
I updated my system to Kernel 3.14.6-1. After I rebooted, imortant Kernel modules eg for lan, wlan, graphics, were not loaded and could not be loaded with modprobe. System booted to command line, but still modules were missing. Downgrading to 3.14.5-1 fixed the Problem. System is an Eee PC 1000HE with Atom N280. |

Sounds to me like you upgraded without /boot mounted.

You are absolutely correct, I never had a boot partition before. Sorry, my fault. Please close :)
