Description:

I am no longer able to poweroff and reboot my system. I tried the commands as both normal user and root.

$ systemctl poweroff
Failed to execute operation: Transaction is destructive.
Failed to start poweroff.target: Access denied

# systemctl poweroff
Failed to start poweroff.target: Transaction is destructive.

systemctl hibernate/suspend still works without problems.

I suggest going through your own units in /etc/systemd/system and figuring out which one is causing this. Some unit is providing conflicting dependencies, and I don't believe it's any shipped by systemd or Arch.

I don't know what caused the error to emerge but I did a cold reboot and now I am again able to poweroff and reboot.
