Description:
I'd specified the NTP servers for systemd-timesyncd to use in /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf Upgrading to 213-6 did not preserve my changes to timesyncd.conf - it got replaced with the one in the package. I would expect the changed timesyncd.conf to be preserved and a timesyncd.conf.pacnew to be created. Additional info: * package version(s) 213-6 * config and/or log files etc. From pacman.log: [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] Running 'pacman -Syyu' [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] synchronizing package lists [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] starting full system upgrade [2014-06-08 23:47] [ALPM] warning: /etc/group installed as /etc/group.pacnew [2014-06-08 23:47] [ALPM] warning: /etc/passwd installed as /etc/passwd.pacnew [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] upgraded filesystem (2014.05-2 -> 2014.06-1) [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] upgraded libsystemd (213-5 -> 213-6) [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] upgraded systemd (213-5 -> 213-6) [2014-06-08 23:47] [PACMAN] upgraded systemd-sysvcompat (213-5 -> 213-6) Steps to reproduce: 1) With systemd 213-5 append a “Servers=uk.pool.ntp.org” line to /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf 2) Upgrade systemd to 213-6 3) observe your changes to /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf have been lost |
