I tried both OpenOffice and LibreOffice and, IMHO, the former is way better. It's more stable and has a lot fewer bugs. Please offer the choice to install OpenOffice.

Thank you.

In my experience OO has a lot more bugs and tend to be quite unstable. Either way nothing is stopping you from installing OO, it's in the AUR.

I tried the AUR version but there is a conflict with the gnome-icon-theme that I am trying to solve :) So the AUR version does not
work out of the box and maybe I don't have the time/skills to fix it quickly.

I have to admit that I am an occasional office user. Nevertheless I noticed that while I can do the simple
things I need easily with OO, with LO it is quite a problem.
E.g., why the hell the pivot table is not created in the same sheet of the base data as OO does ?
Why making a simple graph is a pain with LO ? Why the help has been moved on the net?
In my past experience I had a lot of problems with LO and if you search the Net you'll find a lot of opinions that supports mine.
I think that if I, as a basic user, cannot carry out easily simple tasks with LO, complex tasks should be a nightmare.

Maybe we are hit by different kind of bugs. Anyway, why don't offer the choice between the two.
