Description:
I'm installing Arch Linux x86_64. Configure network: 1) systemctl stop dhcpcd.service 2) cp /etc/netctl/examples/ethernet-static ./net 3) configure /etc/netctl/net 4) Starting net profile: netctl start net 5) ping 192.168.xxx.xxx connect: Network is unreachable If I'm doing that: 1) ip link set ethernetInterface down 2) netctl start net ping is good Why don't work 'netctl start net' without down ethernet interface? Why 'netctl start net' up ethernet interface if I down him before? Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |

A workaround for this problem (netctl 1.4-1.7) is to add
umask 022
to the profile.
