Description:
I have found in my journalctl a lot of lines like this: ``` udisksd[577]: Error performing housekeeping for drive /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/drives/Corsair_Neutron_GTX_SSD_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX: Error updating SMART data: sk_disk_smart_status: Input/output error (udisks-error-quark, 0) ``` Basically I have them since the beginning of time. I have libatasmart v 0.19-2 If I run skdump on the device, I get: ``` Device: sat16:/dev/sdb Type: 16 Byte SCSI ATA SAT Passthru Size: 114473 MiB Model: [Corsair Neutron GTX SSD] Serial: [XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX] Firmware: [M311] SMART Available: yes Quirks: Awake: yes SMART Disk Health Good: Input/output error Off-line Data Collection Status: [Unknown status] Total Time To Complete Off-Line Data Collection: 34816 s Self-Test Execution Status: [] Percent Self-Test Remaining: 70% Conveyance Self-Test Available: yes Short/Extended Self-Test Available: yes Start Self-Test Available: yes Abort Self-Test Available: yes Short Self-Test Polling Time: 255 min Extended Self-Test Polling Time: 255 min Conveyance Self-Test Polling Time: 255 min Bad Sectors: No such file or directory Powered On: No such file or directory Power Cycles: No such file or directory Temperature: No such file or directory Attribute Parsing Verification: Good Overall Status: Input/output error ID# Name Value Worst Thres Pretty Raw Type Updates Good Good/Past 255 attribute-255 102 113 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 90 70 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 28 attribute-28 n/a n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail offline n/a n/a 173 attribute-173 2 32 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age online n/a n/a 44 attribute-44 136 n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 n/a n/a 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 228 28 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 16 attribute-16 n/a 173 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age offline n/a n/a 173 attribute-173 128 201 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age online n/a n/a 219 attribute-219 136 n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age offline n/a n/a 70 attribute-70 136 n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 1 16 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 32 attribute-32 n/a 173 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age offline n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 107 98 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 90 70 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 28 attribute-28 n/a n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail offline n/a n/a 173 attribute-173 2 32 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age online n/a n/a 21 attribute-21 136 n/a n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 n/a n/a 255 n/a 0x000000000000 prefail online n/a n/a 255 attribute-255 228 28 255 n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx prefail online n/a n/a 16 attribute-16 n/a 173 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age offline n/a n/a 173 attribute-173 58 95 n/a n/a xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age online n/a n/a 201 soft-read-error-rate 136 n/a n/a 56319 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx old-age offline n/a n/a ``` This is a quite new SSD drive and works fine, right now I think it's just not being read correctly by libatasmart. Is this patch in our current libatasmart? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=76719 If yes then problem is somewhere else...
