The configure script checks for libkate. I think it should be added as a dependency for icecast 2.4.

This Gento patch mentions that it isn't required for kate support, but at least the configure script checks for it, which suggests that it's used somehow.

But if it doesn't actually do anything, what's the point? Who cares of the configure script checks for it? Adding an extra dep for no functionality makes no sense.

They told me on the official icecast IRC channel that kate might be supported without the library, but the ogg stream is probably not parced correctly.
So, i still vote for adding it as a dependency.
