Please report upstream.

Still an issue? Which DM are you using?
Comment by Amitav (amitavmohanty01) - Wednesday, 04 June 2014, 18:03 GMT
I have reported the issue upstream and yeah I still face the issue. By DM do you mean desktop manager? If so, then as I mentioned earlier I use KDE. If you mean something else, please clarify.

KDE is a Desktop Environment while e.g. KDM is a KDE Display Manager.

I do use KDM. I was considering KDM as login manager which of course is incorrect.

So you are using systemctl start kdm?
Comment by Amitav (amitavmohanty01) - Monday, 09 June 2014, 04:37 GMT
I had migrated to systemd from old init scripts. I think at that time I had enabled kdm in systemd. Currently, systemctl status kdm gives the following output.

● kdm.service - K Display Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/kdm.service; enabled)
Active: active (running) since Sun 2014-06-08 12:28:36 IST; 21h ago
Main PID: 328 (kdm)
CGroup: /system.slice/kdm.service
├─328 /usr/bin/kdm -nodaemon
└─330 /usr/bin/X -br -novtswitch -quiet :0 vt7 -nolisten tcp -auth /var/run/xauth/A:0-09Gk9b

Did you report it upstream? I cannot reproduce it.

$ getent passwd polkitd
polkitd:x:102:102:Policy Kit Daemon:/:/bin/false

$ getent group polkitd
polkitd:x:102:

This is what I get. So, polkit is not missing.
