Description:

It's common to paste commands from wiki pages into a terminal, yet the way that commands are formatted makes this more difficult. One cannot simply triple click on the line to copy it because of the leading "# " string. If the line numbers were displayed in a separate <pre> tag, then this problem would be solved.

Implementing this would mean extensive modifications to the wiki templates used for code formatting, which were designed to be simple and universal (they are also used for file content). See the editing guide [1] for details.

Anyway, discussion about this should take place on the Help_talk:Style page [2] on ArchWiki, not here.
