The Exec key in the desktop file provided by the xarchiver package does not specify a %f field code to indicate that xarchiver can open an archive directly from the command line. The Exec key should be changed to: Exec=xarchiver %f Additional info: Packages x86_64 and i686 xarchiver 0.5.3-3 Steps to reproduce: Run the xarchiver command directly from a terminal with an archive name specified; the archive is opened. |
