Detailsthere is a bug in perl-tk with perl 5.8.8 instaled from binary package. Simple program, like this doesn't work!
use strict; use Tk; my $top=MainWindow->new(); MainLoop(); this is a error message: $ perl -w test.pl 8255138 is not a hash at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/i686-linux-thread-multi/Tk/MainWindow.pm line 55. Aborted |

Additional comments about closing: Works for me, guess it is fixed by the mcpp update. TK was broken overall by mcpp 2.5-1. Please be sure to restart your X session after updating to mcpp 2.5-2.
