Details

Description:

Can you update the dependency of the firefox package :
firefox crashes if started with icu version <53
upgrading to icu 53.1-1 fixes the problem.

Steps to reproduce:
run firefox from terminal with icu 52 installed

Well, I completely agree and have experienced the same issue, but you know what the answer will be : "FU, Partial updates are not supported" :( Since I do not want to upgrade my KDE, I use the old icu and chromium instead of firefox.
Perhaps you could recompile firefox with the old icu lib? I know it's a sucky workaround but still. You can get the pkgfile and use it like a package from the AUR.

I just upgraded icu to fix this.
