Both xorg-server 1.0.1-4 and nvidia 1.0.8178-13 want to install the file

/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so

Same here, confirmed. I forced the installation with pacman -Sf

Confirmed too. My dirty hack:
;prior to installing xorg-server
# pacman -S nvidia
# cd /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/
# rm libglx.so ;its a symlink to libglx.so.1.0.8178
# pacman -S xorg-server
# mv libglx.so libglx.so.xorg-server ;libglx.so intalled by xorg-server
# ln -s libglx.so.1.0.8178 libglx.so
