Description:

I'd like to report a bug with Firefox's Bulgarian translations. Since several Firefox versions the translation in Arch linux simply doesn't work. I haven't had time to investigate the problem which is why I'm reporting it now. I looked through the contents of the arch firefox-i18n-bg package and found out that it contains the file langpack-bg@firefox.mozilla.org.xpi which upon installation is placed in /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions. Since .xpi files are Firefox extensions I tried manually installing the file however I got an error message saying that the file is corrupted. Because the localization works fine in Ubuntu's Firefox I downloaded the Ubuntu Bulgarian Firefox localization package and extracted it. I then manually found the same file and manually installed it and not Firefox's Bulgarian localization works fine.

My guess is that for some reazon the localization extension file is indeed broken in Arch's package. The proper extension file should be included in the package.

Best regards,
Alexander Godumov
