In Debian, libdumbnet-dev provides dumbnet.h. However, in Arch Linux, libdnet provides dnet.h.

Would it be possible to add a compatibility symlink for this?

Debian took it upon themselves to rename a lib and header to avoid a conflict that hasn't existed for years. Upstream uses dnet.h, so that's what Arch uses.

Yeah, I know upstream uses dnet.h, though I guess it would be harder to convince Debian to change it now.

And it's very, very hard to convince Arch to deviate from upstream just because another distro does something really stupid.
