Hi,
I apparently had a corrupted sqlite database in Clementine and wanted the database to be recreated. Therefore I moved ~/.config/Clementine somewhere else such that the files would be recreated. From Clementine's perspective, the situation is thus exactly same as if it was just installed for the first time (at least I know of no other locations modified by Clementine).

But now Clementine will not start anymore *at all*. I get the error:

16:39:57.105 ERROR unknown Unable to update music library database
[1] 23861 abort (core dumped) clementine

The problem happens in both the git version and the latest official build (version 1.2.3).

Yep.

Well, I don't understand this bug. I will report upstream and see if that turns up anything. They might know whether Clementine writes anywhere else than ~/.config/Clementine.

I just deleted ~/.config/Clementine started the program again, it recreated the database just fine.

No problem here either. I had troubles starting it after an update once, but deleting ~/.config/clementine was enough to fix it. Did you try running it with --verbose, see if it prints any other info?
