after upgrading to kdebase-workspace 4.11.9-1 trying to log into awesome WM i get thrown back to the KDE greeter screen, with and without switching /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc for the ~.pacnew version. (forgot to try if the same happens with plasma-desktop, but i don't think it'd make a difference.)

the only error message i find is this one, in everything.log:

kernel: kdm[2200]: segfault at 0 ip 000000000040d00b sp 00007fffa61ea730 error 4 in kdm[400000+29000

downgrading to kdebase-workspace 4.11.8-2 solves the problem.

don't have time to investigate further right now, but wanted to let you know. if i'm the only one, so be it & i'll look into it later...

Same error as above, I have also tried switching to kdmrc.pacnew. Gnome-shell and kde can be launched, but everything else (jwm, icewm, lxde, enlightenment, razor-qt, etc.) fails with the above message. Gdm works.

Thank you, adding DesktopNames=JWM and DesktopNames=AWESOME to the desktop files has worked for jwm and awesome.
