Not sure if it is a bug. I checked some time ago arch repos and found many removed packages that still have trunk in svn.

yeah, there's a handful of such packages. does ArchLinux have any guidelines for the community repository? what tools and processes do package maintainers use?

I am closing this, I think clean up process should be defined for all packages some day...
