Details
Description:
With gfortran 4.9 in testing repos, there is a change in the version for Fortran modules which is incompatible with older versions. All packages providings Fortran modules (.mod files) must be rebuil when the module version number is bumped in gfortran Would it be possible to track this dependency somehowe so package maintainers could get notified of module breakage? It's hard at the moment to know what packages have Fortran modules and need to be rebuilt. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Use any module in a fortran program and build. The error is Fatal Error: Cannot read module file module.mod opened at (1), because it was created by a different version of GNU Fortran |
