The rationale provided for not stripping glibc (https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=packages/glibc#n129) also applies to gcc-libs such as libstdc++ and libgcc_s. Steps to reproduce: 1) Build a C++ program. 2) Run perf top with --call-graph dwarf 3) See that it can't trace through stdlib calls |
