Description: Since the upgrade to Gnome 3.12, the ability to set the title of your gnome-terminal tabs is no longer working.
From gnome-terminal with multiple tabs open (Ctrl-Shift-T), navigating via Terminal->Set Title menu a dialog pops up asking you for the title of the terminal. After entering any text you like and then pressing ok, nothing happens. The terminal tab is still left without a title.

Additional info:
* package version: gnome-terminal 3.12.0-1

I found an upstream bug report here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=720693

There are some kludgy workarounds mentioned in the above link, but none of which are as convenient as being able to set the title via a simple menu.

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  Seems the "Set Title" functionality went away.

When you say the tab is left without a title, you mean it's still just left as the default user@hostname:dir? If so, I can confirm the same problem. Two different Arch installs, running gnome-terminal 3.12.2-1.

There was an attachment in one of comments on the link I provided that shows the issue visually:
https://bug720693.bugzilla-attachments.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=277490

When I said it is left without a title, I mean there is no text at all in the title. See the above link.
It's blank untill it was set with the xtermset command.
