DetailsI'm using a Radeon 7500 mobility with my laptop. When running the driver with DRI enabled (3D acceleration), my machine freezes up when loging out (using xdm or kdm). I can't even ping the machine anymore.
At the same time, the machine behaves fine when no acceleration is used. Or when I start the server with the 'startx' command. I tried the server with Icewm-light as well as kde3.1. The same problem occurs. see: http://bugs.xfree86.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94 The bug is known and fixed in some linux distributions. |
This task depends upon
disabled the dri module in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4, if you don't need any 3D stuff
