DetailsThe only package that depends on perl on my (fairly minimal) system is openssl.
Would you please consider making perl an optional dependency? This would save about 50MB of disk space. From a cursory look at the openssl package, the only two files that use perl are c_rehash and CA.pl /etc/ssl/misc/CA.pl and /etc/ssl/misc/CA.sh both have the same functionality.
