Description:
A patch has appeared on the kernel mailing list that fixes multithreading performance issues: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/4/8/80.

Additional info:
* linux-3.14-4 is affected.

Steps to reproduce:
The program in the linked email can be used to demonstrate the problem. Alternatively, fire up KSP :)
