Description:
Kaffeine DVB-S performance problems. Watching any DVB-S channel only works with default window size. Maximizing the window or using full screen mode makes TV watching impossible. You will only see block graphics and the sound skips and then mutes "forever". This never happened with Kubuntu. Additional info: * with different Kubuntu versions this never happened * using the latest package versions * using nouveau Xorg driver * no hardware acceleration * using KDE without "eye candy" effects * 2.2 GHz dual core CPU "Intel Core 2 Duo T7500" * 4 GB RAM * 64 bit operating system * NVIDIA G84M (GeForce 8600M GT) * laptop computer * 1920x1200 display resolution $ kaffeine ... vo_vdpau: using 3 output surfaces of size 1920x1200 for display queue vo_vdpau: this hardware doesn't support h264. vo_vdpau: this hardware doesn't support vc1. vo_vdpau: this hardware doesn't support mpeg1/2. vo_vdpau: this hardware doesn't support mpeg4-part2. ... This project seems to be dead, last release we over 3 years ago and is marked as inactive as of last Dec. Maybe it should just be dropped to the AUR if it's not working right?
