DetailsPlease split openldap into few packages like this is done by frop in [unsupported]:
openldap-libsm openldap-clients and openldap-servers, and maybe also separate openldap-schemas and openldap-migrationtools Is this possible? Will this be good? (I don't have big experience with OpenLDAP). I like apache-2.2.0/apr/apr-util split in [testing]. Many packages requires it though, in fact, these requirements are not strict but optional in most cases. And current openldap requires cyrus-sasl and it requires heimdal. So when installing php or other package that has really optional dependency on OpenLDAP I get openldap, cyrus-sasl and heimdal which are totally useless for me. Of course, when installing by hand I can skip them, but doing simple pacman -Syu is not so simple (I hope that soon pacman.conf will get IgnoreDep option or something like this). |
