Isn't this an upstream problem? Or a packaging problem? I can't judge.

Just compiled qtcreator-git, and it has the same issue.
I'm wondering if I missed something, and now there's other way to open/insert a resource file/icons in a .ui.
I know QtCreator has a new resources management/edition system, but should've a way to insert it in integrated designer editor.

Doing typical research for bug filling, found this bug[1], with patch[2] in "Review in progress" state that I hope fix the issue.
Just think it's weird a so critical bug made it to a release (even a beta), as it make design editor mode almost unusable. I'm glad it's about to be fixed, I hope a new release of this package, if possible.
Thanks very much.

Fixed in 3.1.0-RC1. Could you please update?
It's interesting, icon for adding new resources (as I showed in screenshots) still doesn't show up in resources dialog, but resources added to project are shown. I believe that the new resource system add project resources automatically to .ui's.
Thanks.
