Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  -gstreamer and -pulseaudio packages are shouldn't be mixed

Hi,

You are correct, the gstreamer and pulse packages comflict with one another. This is deliberate becauase you've can't mix backends, they are not compatible.

However, I agree that it should be possible to select you preferred backend during the initial package group install. I'm going to have to give this some careful thought and as the issue doesn't prevent installation I'll work on this as time permits.

Thanks for reporting.

Martin.

I think the current solution is correct: you shouldn't mix -gstreamer and -pulseaudio packages. If you already installed mate-settings-daemon-gstreamer, then you should choose mate-media-gstreamer and vice versa.
