DetailsDescription: The linker fails when called with the -static option.
Additional info: * package version(s): 4.8.2-8 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: gfortran -static *.o Returns: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortran /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lquadmath This is because the libraries for static linking libgfortran.a and libquadmath.a are missing: executing `locate libgfortran` returns: /usr/lib/libgfortran.so /usr/lib/libgfortran.so.3 /usr/lib/libgfortran.so.3.0.0 /usr/lib/libgfortran.spec /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.8.2/libgfortranbegin.a /usr/lib32/libgfortran.so /usr/lib32/libgfortran.so.3 /usr/lib32/libgfortran.so.3.0.0 The libraries for dynamic linking are there but not the static ones. |
