The .tar.gz version has the source and the configure files, whereas the .zip version just has the sources plus precomipled versions for linux and macos. Is there any reason in particular the .zip is used right now instead? The file is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/swissfileknife/files/1-swissfileknife/1.7.0/sfk-1.7.0.tar.gz |

No good reason, probably I missed the tar.gz file.
